The accommodations were great! Comfortable beds, well maintained camps, kind staff, and safe rooms.
The trek days felt very rushed! We hardly had time to stop and view the beautiful scenery. I understand there's a need to stay on schedule. There was a lot of extra time spent on "ceremony" than necessary. For instance, we spent 1 hour at the summit doing a blessing to mother earth and pictures. Then rushed along the 2nd leg of the trip. Also, the morning of day 4, there was a 20 minute "thank you ceremony" for our chefs. Then we were pushed to get to lunch on time. The last leg of day 2, it was suggested by our guide I ride a horse the remainder of the day. He's the expert, I'm not going to argue with him. But then I was charged $100!!
Finally, tips for the services were gathered on the first leg of the trip. This is while the recipients of the tips were riding on the same bus. Not only was it done prior to the services even being rendered but also in front of those we were giving it to. This should've been done in private.
